Sanderson's Diary, April 1999
April 1 What's that cowboy song about cool, clear, water? There's nothing better than fresh out of the tap! Okay, so it's April Fool's Day, but I do love fresh tap water. I'm not joking about that, but I did have this great spoof I was going to play on Mom, but if I did it, she would know that I could open the door to the closet under the stairs. So I guess maybe I shouldn't do it until I get things arranged under there just like I want them to be (pet beds and everything). It would have been a great opportunity though... But hey, we get older and wiser, so there's always time! April 4 Happy Easter everyone!! I hope you are celebrating the day in the way you like best. Personally, I'm vegging out with my bunnies and hoping that Mom brings me back a nice slice of ham from her get-together with the rels. We had the most fun wrapping the Easter prezzies for the little cousins yesterday. Well, at least I was having fun until Mom told me that I couldn't keep them all! But hey, what's a cat to do? Mom's bigger than me! I have to admit, though, that I don't want for much around here, but it would be nice if Mom could arrange for the North Wind to stop blowing. Oh well, time for another nap. See you later dudes! And by the way, there aren’t any bunnies about to come out of the water faucet, are there? April 11 I've got a new trick, folks! I've figured out how to turn on the television in my combination den/computer room/guest room. While sitting on top of the TV, I lean over and grab the "on" knob with my teeth and twist it clockwise. It's a little trickier cueing up the VCR to play a movie. The buttons on the remote are really tiny, but I have confidence that with practice I will be able to do it. Mom keeps some great action flicks in the VCR to watch when she works out up here. I do wish she had more videos with cats in them though. April 16 We had fun this week. Mom's cousins from Robb, Alberta, stopped to visit on their way back to Canada from "wintering" in Yuma, AZ. They like cats, and it was fun having two more people to keep track of overnight. We even got them signed up for e-mail. Maybe I should try to offer mail service from my home page again? Ah, the decisions a cat has to make Check back now and then. I'll keep you posted on the latest developments! Hope to see you soon. Sanderson |
