Sanderson's Diary, April 2000
April 1 Today is the real April Fool's Day. Mom might think she is going to fool me, but she's not. I see her packing. I know she's going somewhere. I think the mouse is calling her, or at least I know I overheard the word "Disneyland" a few times. She hasn't got my carrier out of the closet yet, so that probably means that I get to stay home. Staying home can be good. Just think of what I can get into on my own! My Aunt Zoe will probably come in and play with me, brush me, give me treats, and clean my potty. What more could a boy want except prezzies from Mom when she gets back? I just hope she doesn't bring me a mouse. They're such disgusting creatures! I saw Mom pack her digital camera, so if I can snag some of the photos I'll put them up on the web. April 2 Oh, by the way, we finally got Mom's car Friday night. No, it is not the green one. I don't know what made me think she would want a green one. The garage just didn't look right without a red car in it, so now things are perfect again. Mitsi is red . . . she is very, very red. The car is so red it seems to pulsate when you look at it. Of course, what I enjoy best are the leather seats and the climate-controlled temperature. And with a 10-CD changer in the trunk (if you can call it a trunk), there's always something I want to listen to. Mom put in the Jingle Cats CD just for me. Boy, those guys caterwaul worse than I do on the way to the Vet! April 9 Mom got home from Southern California last night. Boy was I glad to see her. I really like my Aunt Zoe, but she doesn't stay with me at night so I have a lot of time to get into mischief. Mom germinated a new batch of grass for me just before she left, so I had grazing galore. And Randy wanted to go swimming (in my water dish), so I had to watch him to be sure he didn't drown. Randy now has a new friend Rabbit that they brought me from the Disney Store. It has the sappiest look on its face, but it is the perfect size to carry around the house, and it will fit perfectly in my water dish! I decided to be really tricky with Mom's vacation photos, and put them up on her web site rather than on mine. She's got a permanent "vacations" section on her site and I don't. I tried the pet resort once, and decided I didn't want to go back ever again if I could help it! Don't tell Mom that I know the passwords to FTP stuff to her site, okay?
April 23 Happy Easter everyone! Mom went to celebrate with the rels, and I had the house to myself for most of the afternoon. Boy did we have fun, and there was ham when she got back! What more could a boy want? We've got little cousins galore, and some of them are actually old enough to be fun. Like Haley, whose birthday it was today. We got her her own big fluffy bunny with a flower-printed bow around its neck. I think she liked it. Well, at least I know I liked it when I helped to wrap it earlier today! Check back now and then. I'll keep you posted on the latest developments! Hope to see you soon. Sanderson |
