April 1

I hate April Fools jokes.  Don’t you?  So today I will just spend the day in front of the computer and try to stay out of trouble.  Well, not get into any more trouble than usual, or something like that.

April 10

Today is Good Friday.  Aside from the biblical reference, it is just another Friday to a cat, and they’re all good Fridays!  But I can see Mom is making the grocery list for Sunday dinner. I hope she includes grass and roses.

April 12

Yes! Happy Easter.  It is a cat’s dream come true.  Both fresh grass and a dozen red roses. (Don’t tell Mom, but I really prefer the taste of the yellow ones that are edged in pink. Maybe a strong hint around this time next year?)  And the roast chicken I polished off was pretty darned good as well.  It is great having someone to cater to my every need. (Wait a minute.  I could get in trouble here.  Mom doesn’t always see things the same way as I do, so double don’t tell!)

April 28

Did I remember to tell you about the fun we had last week? Mom’s HVAC contractor and some other guys came over and did an inspection and resealing of all the heating/air conditioning ductwork and vent openings to make our house more energy efficient and see if we could pass the specs for new construction.  The guys were busy little beavers for a couple of hours, and at the end, we passed!   I guess there will be some sort of rebate from Pacific Power eventually. Was it worth having to stay out of their way?  Time will tell!
