August 1

Aunt Zoe is taking care of me while Mom is on vacation. She sure is nice. She comes here once a day and checks on my needs and brushes me and gives me treats. This is so much better than being at the pet resort. I have all my toys with me . . . it's almost like having Mom home!

August 6

This evening Mom got home from her trip to the Acro Reunion in Canada. Boy was she upset. It took three hours for the plane to get off the ground in Toronto. Something else kept breaking and they had to return to the airport and fix it and take off again. And we know how she loves to fly anyway! I was so glad to see Mom and her friend that I ran over and clawed the furniture!

August 10

Mom tells me that we are down to four ping pong balls. No we aren't . . . We still have the same amount we started with (well, except for the one that got smashed in the door), I just have them hidden. I guess I picked out a really good place for my stash this time, because I have close to a dozen of them hidden out where she can't find them!

August 13

It is Mom's birthday today. We started it out by sleeping in, having a nice bubble bath (Mom in the tub, me on the edge swatting the bubbles), and going out for breakfast. Well, Mom went out for breakfast and I got the left-overs! The ham was great, but I am not a real fan of scrambled eggs. Sure is going to be boring around here when Mom has to go back to work next week.

August 15

Oh no!!!!! Mom threw in a surprise for me today. She took me to the Vet for my annual physical. I hate those things! They poke and prod and shoot you up with all those vaccines. They are supposed to make sure I don't get sick, but right now all I want to do is alternately sleep and glare at her for doing this to me!
