Sanderson's Diary, February 2008
February 1 Still snowing. I think I’ll have a nice nap on the back of the couch. That way I have a good view out both the front and rear of the house, just in case anything exciting happens I should know about. February 3 This snow is like the Energizer bunny. It keeps snowing and snowing and snowing. February 4 One of Mom’s neighbors helped her fix the tractor. Well, let’s be fair here. He fixed the tractor while she provided encouragement. Now we can get to the store again. Yippee, no shortage of cat food! February 11 Oh boy. I’ve really blown it. Only three days until Valentine’s Day and I haven’t picked out Mom’s present yet. Well, actually I do have it picked out, but it has been tricky getting my web research in while she’s not looking. I’m going to get her a heated mattress pad so she doesn’t have to keep asking me to sleep on her feet! February 14 Happy Valentine’s Day everyone. I ordered the mattress pad yesterday, but even with express shipping it won’t make it in time. So I convinced Mom to make a run to Wal-Mart and pick herself up something while we wait for Fed Ex. I figured if I was really good, she’d pick up something for me as well. And she did! I am writing this from inside my new two-room cube farm. It’s pretty neat, with stuff to play with hanging from the ceilings and room in the corners to tuck away a few of my selected goodies. I think I’ll start with my porcupine ball, because I keep forgetting where I left it. February 21 What’s the thing with all these US Presidents born in February, the shortest month in the year? And I still haven’t figured out why we don’t celebrate their birthdays on their birthdays. We do mine. Oh well, I guess it is just politics. I’ll tell you, that’s one career I never considered! Check back now and then. I'll keep you posted on the latest developments! Hope to see you soon. Sanderson |
