July 1

Another fiscal year begins in California. The Governor must have signed the budget, because my supply of treats hasn't dried up!

Independence Day is close at hand. I don't really look forward to it, because I am not a fan of those fireworks that scream. And they seem to be the ones all the kids love. I was a kid once myself, but as a three-year-old, I prefer to create my own noise running up and down the stairs. It is so much fun to try to convince the neighbors that Mom lives with a herd of elephants!

July 4

Do you like noise? I don't like noise. Mom was off doing stuff, so I went someplace where I figured I'd be invulnerable. On top of the refrigerator back under the cupboard. Hmmmmm, a little tighter fit than I'd thought. Oh well, Mom will get me down when she gets back. I hope everyone had a great Fourth of July, and that none of the rest of you got stuck on top of the refrigerator!

July 17

Hello. I don't have much to say today because I am too busy playing. Whoever said that a cat would settle down as he/she got older wasn't referring to Maine Coons, I suspect. I've turned the foam-ball-on-the-stairs game into badminton. It was fun to catch the balls before and pile them up on the stairs, but it is even more fun to reach a paw up and bat the ball back into Mom's hands. That way she doesn't have to bend down to pick it up, or find another one to throw back. She's getting old, you know (but don't tell her I said that. I'm just thinking that I need to go back out on the web and find her a birthday prezzie for next month.) Well, gotta run and see if I can tempt Mom with another game of badminton. Oh, by the way, my website won another award. Want to go back to my home page and see if you can guess which one? (Hint: It's from the International Association of Web Masters and Designers.)
