There might be a song called "June is Bustin' Out All Over," but I think it is supposed to be about the blossoms and not the rain! This has to be one of the strangest years for weather... Go ahead, ask me how a 13-month old cat knows about the weather in past years? It's easy. There is a little reincarnation in all of us, and I was a weatherperson in a prior life!

Remember how I used to unplug the Christmas lights? The seasons have changed, but my skill sets are still with me. I've just moved them upstairs. Now instead of unplugging the lighted garland on the bannister, I unplug the floor lamp in my den. Mom spends entirely too much time on the computer, so when I decide it is time she should go to bed, I just unplug the lamp so the only light in the room is from the computer equipment. So far it hasn't stopped her from staying up, but it sure gets her attention!

I thought maybe the rains were gone. I guess Mom did too, because after she got the oil changed in the car she had it washed, and then she came home and fertalized all the stuff in the yard and watered it in. Now it looks like rain again! Don't they always say it rains right after you wash the car?

Electrical contractor. Yep, I am pretty sure that is what I want to be when I grow up. Mom found out this morning that she had taped an hour and a half of nothing last night, because I had decided to rewire the connections between the TV and the VCR in the living room. Well, they were so tempting, just dangling there, and I didn't really like the placement very well. There were better ways she could have done it. Don't know why she was upset, KVIE just ran another telethon in the place of what she thought she was taping anyway!

Maybe what really did it though was what I did to the coffee maker. I just happened to be downstairs on the kitchen counter about the time it started up and began making coffee. The hissing bothered me, so I unplugged it. What's a cat supposed to do?

Mom found another one of my stashes today when we were playing soccer in the kitchen and a ball went under the stove. It is amazing how much I can store there. In addition to a whole lot of dust bunnies and the soccer ball, Mom swatted out eight ping pong balls, two mice, three snapple rings, three pens and an extra cap, and one of her three Budweiser frog magnets... I think it was Er! Anyway, that should keep me in toys for a while now! I wonder if she will ever find all the other things I've stashed ?

Well, I'm already thinking of a career change. How about if instead of becoming an electrical contractor, I sort of do the same thing as before but call myself a conservation engineer? You know, save energy and all that? It fits in well with unplugging those lights, and also explains my propensity to hoard things in my stashes! I mean, think of how all my ping pong balls and mice keep getting recycled each time Mom finds a bunch of them in one of my stashes.... And have you noticed that I always make sure Mom finds one of my stashes about the time I start to run out of ping pong balls or mice?

Check back now and then. I'll keep you posted on the latest developments! Hope to see you soon.
