Sanderson's Diary, March 2000
March 1 Yummmmm. Mom really outdid herself with this batch of grass. Not only did she grow it in less than a week, but in the words of Oklahoma!, it is as high as an elephant's eye and oh so very tasty. Let's just hope it stays green 'til St. Patrick's Day. We don't have the best luck with the longevity of grass around here. March 10 You know that I can work magic with lights and electrical plugs. Now I have added surge protectors to my repertoire. Mom is taking this class for three weeks, so she gets home late and then goes on-line to check our personal e-mail and hers at work. Well, I'm feeling a little bit neglected. So when she's been on the computer longer than I think is reasonable, I hop up on the desk and take a stroll across the power toggle switch on the surge protector. It pays to have big paws! March 17 Okay, now how am I going to handle this one? The grass is doing well, but that car I bought Mom over the Internet didn't get delivered on time. And it was green and everything. So much for my St. Patrick's Day surprise for her. Let's see . . . What's the next holiday? Easter? That one doesn't come for over a month. Surely they will have the hub caps polished by then. I guess I can put a bunny in the passenger seat and say Happy Easter! March 25 Today must have been April Fool's Day early. Just when I thought Mom was going to get into the closet for the vaccuum hose, she came out with my carrier and off we went to the Vet for my annual poking and prodding. (In Vet terminology, it's called a comprehensive exam.) Needless to say, I'm healthy as a horse and now weigh 13 pounds. They say I'm close to grown, but I might surprise them. I know I'd weigh more if I wasn't shedding for the early spring. Mom's quit wearing dark colors in self defense! Check back now and then. I'll keep you posted on the latest developments! Hope to see you soon. Sanderson |
