I'm seeing polka dots! Mom's hosting a Novocter Fest at our townhouse complex this evening. (It was supposed to be an October Fest, but too many of her friends couldn't come last weekend so we had to put it off a week and change the name!) I was ready for the smell of bratwurst, potatoes, and sauerkraut, but then she went out and bought polka music for the sound system. Got to admit, though, it grows on you, and I find my tail twitching and paws tapping to the beat. Mom thinks I'm doing the polka. Good thing those kegmeisters can all walk home tonight! (I'll be drowning catnip mice in my water dish.)

As I approach the six-month mark, I am starting to think I might want a career besides being a cat. I considered finish carpentry (those eye-screws you put into the backs of big mirrors have a certain fascination), but I think plumbing might be a better call. You know those sink stoppers that have the stem under them so you can pull them up and down, well I've figured out how to pull them out as well! They're lots of fun to bat around in the sink, and it is particularly rewarding to hide one and watch the look on Mom's face when she sees the void where the stopper used to be!

What a Bushy Tail

I'm six months old now. Told you I would get better at the computer as time goes on. I applied for and received my own e-mail address the other day. But by the time you are reading this, Mom has found out and canceled it for me.  So you still need to contact me through her e-mail.  I’m also having a lot of fun with web design, and hope to set up my own business site in the near future. As long as Mom continues to leave the computer on when she goes to the store . . .

Well, my first major holiday has come and gone. Thanksgiving!  I'm not so sure what the big deal is. Maybe I am giving thanks for having the place to myself while Mom went off to be with some relatives. I do have to admit, though, that the left-overs were first-rate!

Then today, Mom got out the Christmas decorations and boy did I have a good time. I never saw so many things that are fun to chew and chase in one place at a time before! And that's before the tree shows up. (I'm not actually sure we're going to have one this year. Mom is making noises that she is going to let me get a year older before she trusts me with a tree. I think it has something to do with the fact that I keep upsetting or sloshing my downstairs water dish.) Oh well, we'll see what December brings!

Check back now and then. I'll keep you posted on the latest developments! Hope to see you soon.
