Sanderson's Diary, September 1999
September 1 Ouch! Mom slipped the trip to the vet in on me yesterday evening. I feel like a pin cushion. First they sucked some stuff out (blood to test to make sure I was healthy), and then they pumped some stuff in (shots to make sure I stay healthy). Fortunately they all love me at my doctor's. I'd hate to think of how many times the critters they don't like get stuck. Fortunately, I'm furry enough to be protected from the puncture wounds! One thing that wasn't so bad though. I got to drive home. At least that is what the guy in the lane next to us thought. Mom's RAV4 is a lot of fun to cruise around on the inside of too. There are lots of nooks and crannies just made for a curious cat. It is great to be able to stretch my legs after being cooped up in the transport case! September 4 Omygosh (yes, it is all one word!). They've gone off and left me again. I guess the call of the wild, or in their case, the call of the ocean, was too much to resist, and Mom and company have gone back to the Bodega Bay area for the weekend. If they send picture and they look good, I will put up a link to them from my main page. Aunt Zoe is taking care of me, and I have a fresh pot of grass, so I ask you, what more could a cat want? Recreational opportunities abound, I have unlimited Internet access, and my local buddy to brush me and give me treats. Gee Mom, hope you have it as good at the coast! September 11 You know, a cat's really got to put up with a lot these days. Just when I thought life was grand, we got up this morning and Mom stuffed me into my transport case and took me in for my annual physical. I thought it was over when I got my shots. Oh well, I am now certifiably healthy, and Mom bought me a larger transport case while I was being played with by the staff. This one is approved for use on airlines (let's hope it doesn't come to that!), and has these neat roll-down window shades so I can be completely in the dark if I want. What will they think of next? Check back now and then. I'll keep you posted on the latest developments! Hope to see you soon. Sanderson |
