Sanderson's Diary, July 1999
July 1 It is hard to believe, but here we are half way through 1999 and about to face the onset of the new millenium. With this month, I just realized that I have been writing in my diary for a full two years. Wow. Mom thought when I was a little kitten that I would give up on it after a month or two. But you know, with age comes wisdom (or so they say). Anyhow, I'm having too much fun to give this up! I know that I don't have any progeny to leave it to, but that's the great thing about publishing on the web. There is a whole world of young cats out there who can read about me and maybe have more fun or learn new ways to manipulate their "persons" as a result. And as the little girl on the Pepsi commercial says, "I like this job!" July 5 Hey, fooled you. This time I didn't write anything on a holiday! Well, I have to tell you that there were all sorts of people who just had to blow things up, but fortunately not too many of them lived close to me. We decided to stay up late just because there was no point in going to sleep only to be awakened by Piccolo Pete, so that meant that I got extra brushing and extra treats, which was just fine by me! So the hoopla is over. Next one is Labor Day, and I swear I won't celebrate it if it means that have to go out and get a job. I am so much better in a consultancy capacity, what with all the things I have done in prior lives. (Don't you wish you had been a cat?) July 17 Grazin' in the grass is a gas, baby can you dig it. . . Remember that one? Aunt Penny got Mom two kinds of grass to grow for me, and as you can see above, boy are they good! I'm not sure which I like the best, the cereal grass or the regular grass. You can see me eating the regular grass here. The cereal grass is just behind me, which you could see if it weren't for my behind. Every cat should eat his/her greens, and it is easy when they are such tender young shoots! Check back now and then. I'll keep you posted on the latest developments! Hope to see you soon. Sanderson |
