Sanderson's Diary, June 1999
June 1 Hey guys, remember when I used to fit into the keyboard drawer? Mom tried to get me into it for a comparison photo, but I just sort of laughed! We survived the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Those Indy cars raced around and around the brick yard,, and I raced around and around the living room! But I have a better track record. Not only did I have the pole position (scratching pole, you know), but I never once crashed. Of course, I did skid a few times and send the braided rug sailing into the door to the garage when I hit the lino in the kitchen. What's a good race without a couple of near misses? June 16 Boy the days seem to creep up on you once you turn two. It will be Father's Day this Sunday. Not that I have anything to worry about on that score. The family jewels are long gone, meaning that so is the family! (Unless, of course, you count that other cat that Mom is knitting out of all the fur I have shed since the weather got hot!!!) But what is a boy going to do? The shedding gets me brushed more often, and I do love to be brushed. Even that ticklish part on my tummy (but don't tell Mom on me, okay?) June 28 Speaking of jewels, I was hoping to show you a picture of me with my new neck chain (14 carat gold, of course!), but it sort of disappears into my fur whenever a camera gets near. I do love the chance to nose (literally) around in Mom's jewelry drawer and select a piece now and then. They all look so good on me it is hard to choose. Of course, the bracelets are too small for my neck, but they are great to carry around the house. The diamond one really makes me feel like a cat about town! Do you suppose maybe I should consider a career in accessories some time in the future? Check back now and then. I'll keep you posted on the latest developments! Hope to see you soon. Sanderson |
