Sanderson's Diary, June 2008
This is the strangest beginning for summer. It is downright cold. We have a few warm days and I start to shed, and then it turns cold again and I wish I had the fur back! Maybe I could ask Mom to save it up and knit me a sweater that matches my coat, my natural coat that is. Oh well, it seems to be good weather for growing grass. June 10 Yep, I do love my greens. I’ve developed a fondness for having the blades of wheat grass hand-fed to me, though I will munch down on my own when I get the urge for some veggies and can’t find Mom. Do you think I should ask her to coordinate her schedule with my greenery needs? I mean, who wouldn’t want to just sit around in case the cat needs attention? June 14 Mom and my Aunt Barb went to Montague Days this morning. It is supposed to be a celebration of what the town was like in the early 1900s, complete with a bank robbery and Annie Oakley-styled Wild West shooting exhibition. Hope they’re not going to take any potshots at cats. I wonder how that’s going to work. Last time I checked, the banks weren’t open on Saturdays. Maybe they are going to break in as well as rob the place. Perhaps I could volunteer my services as a CAT burgler! That’s a profession I haven’t thought to try out before. Might be some potential there. Check back now and then. I'll keep you posted on the latest developments! Hope to see you soon. Sanderson |
